A Saudi Arabian man who was being treated for
Ebola-like symptoms died today August 6th at a hospital in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the country's health
ministry said.
According to a post on the website
of the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Health, the unidentified 40 year old
man was being treated for symptoms of the deadly virus in an isolated
ward when he suddenly died after suffering a cardiac arrest.
The website stated that the man had recently visited
Sierra Leone, one of the countries being ravaged by the deadly
Ebola virus and may have contracted the virus there.
This
will be the first suspected Ebola-related death outside Africa since the
outbreak. The World Health Organization said today that 932 people have so
far died from the virus.
