Premium lager, STAR, on new year's eve drew the crème de la crème of Nigeria’s artistes, with some of the biggest names in the music entertainment industry witnessing what was arguably the largest toast in Africa.
The event, one of the special highlights of the second annual Countdown held at Eko Atlantic, Victoria Island Lagos. The symbolic toast to usher in the new year was anchored by the Corporate Affairs Adviser Nigerian Breweries Plc, Kufre Ekanem with Funke Akindele, Funmi Iyanda and a bevy of other guests who had the audience raising their glasses to toast 2014 as the giant LED clock on display struck midnight.
The special toast was done with a purpose-designed Star Magnum bottle which popped as the clock ticked midnight. Hundreds of thousands of Lagosians, tourists, music fans and celebs clicked glasses and sipped on Star, as happy new year wishes took over Eko Atlantic.
