Bafana qualify for AFCON 2015
Durban - Goals from Thulani Serero and Tokelo Rantie either side of half-time secured South Africa's passage to next year's Africa Cup of Nations, beating Sudan 2-1 at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
As it happened: Bafana Bafana v Sudan
Serero was instrumental in creating both, rounding off a move he began eight minutes before half-time, before turning supplier for Rantie, with a terrific through-ball which the striker buried high into the net eight minutes after the break, sending Bafana Bafana soaring into an unassailable four-point lead at the top of group A.

Female footballer Courtney Dike rejects $7,000 bonus from FG
It's not all ladies that are crazy about money; and this beautiful
girl Courtney Dike is one of the very few exceptions. She is among the
Super Falcons who made Nigeria proud by winning the just concluded 2014
FIFA Under 20 Women's World Cup which took place in Canada.
To the surprise of everyone, Ms Dike has rejected the $7,000 reward from
Nigeria Football Federation for her role in the tournament. Other girls
in the team have since collected their own cash.
But what is her reason for rejecting the money? Ms Dike said the honour of playing for her fatherland, Nigeria, is enough reward for her. Wow!

Perth Glory hoping to leave controversy behind as Kenny Lowe’s men gear up for new season
WHEN Kenny Lowe was handed a two-year contract in April to take over permanently at Perth Glory, he said the answer to improving the struggling club’s fortunes was simple: get better players.
After a fruitful off-season recruiting drive, it’s clear the coach has given it his best shot.
The additions of striker Andy Keogh, midfielders Youssouf Hersi, Mitch Nichols, Ruben Zadkovich, Richard Garcia and Diogo Ferreira and defender Dino Djulbic have given Glory some proven A-League performers, strong characters and competition for spots.
