The Chairman of the PeoplesDemocratic Party National Reconciliation
Committee, Mr. Seriake Dickson, on Tuesday said it would be wrong to
accuse the party of being a religious or a regional party.
“Somebody even won the Presidency in 1999 and got the support of the
party even though his zone, the South-West, did not support him. The
party supported him and made him the leader.
“In 2011, a President from the minority emerged through the PDP. This is
a party that is neither a regional nor a religious party.”
