Minister denies killing of 97 Nigerians by Cameroon

The is no evidence that 97 Nigerians were killed by Cameroonian Gendarmes , Foreign Affairs ministry said on Wednesday.

Mr. Geoffrey Onyeama, the foreign affairs minister, told the House of Representatives on Wednesday.

He said the 97 deaths represented the accumulation of all the Nigerians that had been killed in previous incidents in the Bakassi area since 2008.


Onyeama made the clarification before the House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs headed by Rep. Nnena Elendu-Ukeje.
