10 kids feared drowned, scores injured in ethnic clash in Ajah,Lagos

Ten children were yesterday feared drowned and many others injured during an ethnic clash in Ajah.
Several make shift houses  and properties were also destroyed.
Rapid Response Squad (RRS) operatives’ timely intervention prevented higher casualty figures, sources said. They rescued many including babies trapped inside burning shanties.

Ilaje sand sellers in Bariga, Lagos, banned as Ilaje DPO writes petition against them

Since last week of January of this year, the sand sellers in Ilaje Bariga have not been allowed to work.
Properties worth millions of naira is rotting away because they are not used. The DPO of Ilaje police station was alleged to be the one writing petition against the sand sellers, citing 'area boys' within the place as reasons.

US man found dead in his hotel room in Lekki, Lagos

A 57 year old American man, Charles Carlson, has been found dead in his hotel room, Ellyx Ville hotel, situated in Lekki Phase one, Lagos Tuesday September 6th. ‎ The Nation reports that Carlson's body was found beside a rope at about 5:30pm.
After his body was discovered, the police at the Maroko division were informed of the incident by the hotel manager, Vincent Onwuke and have evacuated his corpse.

A man allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the roof top of Kamar Kazum Plaza in Apapa, Lagos to his death. We can't confirm this report yet and the Facebook user Rabiu Biyora, who posted it didn't say when or where the incident happened but someone in the comment section mentioned the location above. 8 Feared Dead as Truck Crashes Into Stationary Vehicles In Oshodi, Lagos

 At least eight people were feared dead on Tuesday in Lagos when a truck veered off its lane and crashed into stationary vehicles at Oshodi.
Five vehicles were involved in the accident which occurred at the Oshodi `Isale’ Bus Stop on the Oshodi-Apapa Expressway.
The lorry was coming from the Apapa end of the highway when the accident occurred.
The stationary vehicles involved in the accident included three commercial buses and a jeep.
A correspondent, who was at the scene shortly after the accident, reports that blood stained some portions of road while luggage of the victims scattered.

Thief-Pastor Arrested With 317 Kegs Of Petrol In Ikorodu, Lagos

Officials of the Lagos State Taskforce on Environmental and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit have arrested a pastor and three others over alleged oil theft at Majidun, Ikorodu area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.
At least, 317 fifty-litre kegs of petrol, amounting to 15,850 litres were recovered by the taskforce officials during the raid. The suspects and the 317 kegs of petrol were brought to the taskforce office at Alausa..

P.M.NEWS investigations revealed that the suspects were arrested around 5 p.m. on Tuesday when the taskforce officials sighted them stealing petrol from NNPC pipeline into 50-litre kegs at Majidun. In an attempt to arrest the oil thieves, many of them allegedly jumped into the river and escaped.

SEE The Man Who Stabbed Cheating Wife To Death In Ajah, Lagos


The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 36-year-old man, Daniel Kanjo, for allegedly killing his 24-year-old wife, Meno Kanjo, in Elemoro, Ajah area of the state.

According to police investigations, Daniel stabbed his wife to death after catching her making love to another man in a bush near their home.
According to a police source at Elemoro Divison, after stabbing his wife many times, the suspect also stabbed himself in the stomach and in the neck.

The suspect and the wife were thought to be dead, forcing the residents to call the police to evacuate the corpses

As policemen were packing the corpses to the mortuary, Daniel was, however, discovered to be breathing and was immediately rushed to the hospital.
