Twin brother Jeromme and Jarelle beat 150,000-1 odds to become dads on the same day at the same hospital by the same midwife after their partners gave birth on Monday November 24th. And they both had baby boys.

According to UK Mirror, the twins were initially shocked when told their partners had the same due date of Nov. 26, but neither believed they would both be celebrating on that date. But remarkably, the pair became fathers within a few hours of each other when their sons were born at New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton in the early hours of Monday.

Dominican-American Fashion Icon Oscar de la Renta dies at 82

Óscar Arístides de la Renta Fiallo, the Dominican American fashion designer is dead. He died yesterday, October 20 at his home in Kent, Conn.  He was 82.  He was Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, De la Renta was trained by Cristóbal Balenciaga and Antonio del Castillo.  He was the first Latino to be accepted into the exclusive ranks of Parisian fashion houses. Later as a U.S. citizen, he became the first American to design for a French couture house. All the while, Mr. de la Renta was building a brand that, in exclusive circles and in small-town bridal salons alike, was known by one word: Oscar.

Total Oil CEO Christophe De Margerie Dies In Moscow Plane Crash

The chief executive of French oil company Total, Christophe de Margerie, 63, has died. He died last night when a private jet he was boarding with three crew members collided with a snow plough at Moscow’s Vnukovo international airport. His death has been described as a big loss for the global oil/gas industry. He was 63. May his soul rest in peace.

ONE of the three women held captive in a US home for about a decade has told a crowd she has been able to forgive her kidnapper and find peace in her life. MICHELLE Knight, who was kidnapped in August 2002 when she was 21, said she realises now that Ariel Castro had a disease, and therapy has taught her that what he did hadn't been his fault, The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer reported. Knight, Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus broke out of the house in May 2013 after suffering years of torture. Knight said it wasn't until about a year and a half after her rescue from Castro's home that she reached a breakthrough. "I was able to say his name, Ariel Castro," the 33-year-old Knight said. "I was able to forgive him." Knight made the comments during an interview conducted by a radio host on Sunday at Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin High School in Ohio. Castro pleaded guilty to a long list of charges and committed suicide in prison in September 2013. "I felt very appalled by it, but I understood," Knight said of Castro's prison suicide. "I don't condone what he did." She received applause from the crowd when she said she hopes for the best for Castro's family. "A lot of people who have contacted me through Facebook see me as an inspiration," said Knight, who has written a book about her ordeal called "Finding Me." "It means the world to me and it is an honour to help everybody I can." Knight said her time in captivity has made her stronger and has allowed her to know herself better. "The situation (Castro) put me in didn't define me," she said. "I choose to live a meaningful life."

IF OSCAR Pistorius is sent to jail for the killing of Reeva Steenkamp, the Kgosi Mampuru II prison, formerly known as Pretoria Central Prison, will become his new home.

The Blade Runner finds out on Tuesday if he will go to prison or if he will be allowed to live at home, under house arrest.
If jailed, he would become one of about 7000 inmates currently held in the jail close to the centre of Pretoria.

Bishop denies PM nixed face-veil ban

 

SPEAKER Bronwyn Bishop has backed down on a controversial decision on face coverings but insists it wasn't at the direction of Prime Minister Tony Abbott.

IT'S unclear what prompted the October 2 decision to segregate burqa and niqab wearers at Parliament, but it wasn't advice from security.
Visitors now have to temporarily remove facial coverings so they can be identified when they enter Parliament House. But Mrs Bishop's backdown means they won't have to sit behind glassed off areas in the chambers alongside visiting schoolchildren. That policy sparked an outcry after which Mr Abbott told reporters on October 3: "I asked the Speaker to rethink that decision." But Ms Bishop told parliament on Monday she had not received a request to reconsider from Mr Abbott. "In a word, no," she said. Mr Abbott's office said while the prime minister had made his views clear, it was not a formal request as the decision was always one for Ms Bishop and Senate President Stephen Parry.

The suspected killer of Alice Gross was carrying her body in a 5ft-long bag at a hostel, it was claimed last night.
Steven Mendonca claimed Arnis Zalkalns stared at him “like a zombie” in the incident on September 5, a week after Alice, 14, went missing.
The 41-year-old builder, convicted of murdering his wife in his native Latvia, was trying to get into a homeless hostel in Harlesden, North West London.
Mr Mendonca, 33, said Zalkalns had pleaded “help me boss, help me!” as he begged to be given a room.

Killer dad showed Luke Batty a knife

ROSIE Batty thought about calling police when Greg Anderson turned up at their 11-year-old son's cricket training the night Luke died, but decided not to.
Ms Batty said previous attempts to have Anderson arrested at the Victorian oval had proved traumatic and unpredictable. She said she thought: "This will be the third time I've tried to get this man arrested in front of Luke and his friends at that bloody oval." Anderson hit Luke with a cricket bat then attacked him with a knife at the Tyabb cricket oval in February before being shot by police, later dying in hospital. Ms Batty told an inquest into Luke's death she originally wanted her son to have a relationship with his father. But she changed her mind in April 2013 when Luke revealed his father had pulled out the knife and began praying as he sat in his car with his son. As he held up the knife, Anderson told Luke:

Woman Gives Birth to Lizard, Is Accused of Witchcraft

An angry lynch mob (yes, really) is after a 31-year-old Indonesian woman who gave birth to a gecko after an 8-month pregnancy, India Today reported. The group believes she practiced witchcraft after a midwife delivered a lizard in the remote Oenunto village.
Not surprisingly, scientists aren't convinced the lizard was actually born. Although Dr. Messe Ataupa, a medical officer from nearby Kupang, told India Today that locals in the village confirmed Debi Nubatonis had shown all symptoms of being with child — including going into labor — "we believe it was just a phantom pregnancy or pseudocyesis where there was never a child."
Discharge may have landed on a lizard during the faux birthing, Ataupa explained, leading the midwife to believe that it was the baby. This biologically "is clearly nonsense," he said. "There has never been a proven case of a living organism from one species giving birth to a different species; it just doesn't happen." Yeah? Tell that to the angry mob.

Aston Kutcher and Mila Kunis welcomed a baby girl a few days ago but instead of sharing the photo of his new born daughter with his fans, the renowned prankster released 6 photos of new born babies on his website and asked fans to spot which is his and Mila's.

Photos: Five-Year Old Boy Tests Positive For Cocaine, Which Led To Arrest Of Parents

A five-year-old boy has tested positive for Cocaine after being found with a bag of the class A drug in his parents' car. Police found the youngster in Ventura County, California, while investigating his dad Marco Cuevas over alleged cocaine deals and knew something was wrong with him.

His father, Cuevas, 31 was later found with several ounces of cocaine on him, with another half-pound found in the car, while is mom Sandy, 29 looked on. $10,000 was also found on his father, which is believed to be suspected drug proceeds. The couple were both arrested on the spot.
