Baby Dauda, who made news after his stepmother cut off his genitals in Niger state is dead. He died following a brief illness.
Mariam Kolo, the DG of the Child's Right Agency
confirmed the development to PUNCH Metro on Wednesday, saying the baby
had malaria causing his temperature to rise. She added that despite
everything administered he still died.
Kolo told Punch Metro that the victim had been slated for a genital transplant in the United Kingdom before he died.
She
said the sickness was not a relapse of his earlier medical condition as
he had been doing well after going through a series of corrective
surgeries.
