Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State has revealed more reasons why he
dumped the PDP and joined the APC, citing undue interference in the
governance of Rivers State by the wife of the President, Mrs Patience
Jonathan as one of the main reasons, among several others.
“The basic reason why we left PDP is because of the resources of Rivers
State. I have told all of you on several occasions that the wife of the
President was not elected the governor of Rivers State. I was elected
and I am not in any way the wife of the President; I am the governor of
Rivers State and husband to Judith Amaechi.
"Another problem is the Port Harcourt Airport. How many of you would feel proud to go through that kind of useless airport?
