Ahmed Musa’s lone goal on Sunday was the
decider when CSKA Moscow beat city rivals, Locomotiv Moscow, 1-0 at
home in the Russian Premier League. Musa scored the goal in the 33rd
minute after one of his trademark runs.
The win ensures that CSKA Moscow are
second in the log with 18 points from eight matches. Zenit St.
Petersburg top the table with 24 points from the same number of matches.
Nnamdi Oduamadi was also on target for
his Serie B side, Crotone, on Saturday in their 2-0 home win over
Bologna. The Eagles midfielder came on in the 70th minute to score his
club’s second goal 12 minutes later after Steve Beleck had put the hosts
ahead in the 46th minute. The win was the first for Crotone in the
four-week-old season.
In the Spanish La Liga, Ramon Azeez was
an unused substitute as Almeria defeated Real Sociedad 2-1 on Sunday.
Azeez has made only one appearance for Almeria this season.
