15 lecturers, 2 non-academic staff have been fired by management of Lagos State. Two other staff were also demoted.
The University’s Governing Council led by the Chairman, Professor Adebayo Ninalowo, approved the dismissal on Thursday, September 7.
Some of those affected Include; former Chairman of the University’s ceremony Committee, Dr. Adebowale Ademeso who was found guilty to have “altered the grades in 16 courses", Head of Department (HOD) of History and International Studies, Dr. Adebowale Adeyemi-Suenu who was discovered to have “unilaterally altered the results of 12 students already advised to withdraw”. Dr. Adeyemi-Suenu also favored some final year students by changing their results while also awarding marks to students who didn’t sit for exams.
