Eight young footballers have been shortlisted for this year's Premier League Young Player of the Season award.
Newcastle’s Sven Botman, 23, has made the list as a young defender who has helped his team in their quest for the top four has 10 clean sheets in 33 appearances.
Another player on the list is Moisés Caicedo, 21, of Brighton & Hove Albion F.C, a defensive midfielder with 1 goal, 1 assist, and nine clean sheets in 33 appearances.
Manchester City’s Erling Haaland, 22, has also made the list with a record-breaking debut season, scoring 36 goals and providing 7 assists in 33 appearances.
There is also Alexander Isak, 23, of Newcastle, who has 10 goals and 1 assist in 19 appearances.
Alexis Mac Allister, 24, has 10 goals and 1 assist in 31 appearances, and Gabriel Martinelli, 21, has scored 15 goals and provided 5 assists in 36 appearances.
Martin Ødegaard, 24, the captain of Arsenal, has 15 goals and seven assists in 35 appearances.
Finally, Bukayo Saka, 21, a Nigerian-English player, has been recognized for his excellent performance this season, having 13 goals and 11 assists this season for Arsenal.
