According to reports, the 52-year-old Nirandorn Pratumsin turned herself in at the Chalong Police Station at around 10pm and told the officer on duty that she had murdered her foreign husband. She said they had an heated argument which led to his death.
Johann Friedrich Speckbacher, 79, was soon found dead on the floor by the kitchen table when officers got to the house.
Rope marks were seen on his neck with no other visible injury taken into account.
Nirandorn confessed that she snapped when they began arguing around 7pm and lost control of herself.
She said she got a rope, placed around her husbands neck and strangling him to death she she lit incense sticks to pray and ask for forgiveness.
She then went to the police station and confessed.
It has been reported that she has now been charged with murder and remanded in jail until investigation are concluded.
