Cross River APC Gives N1m Offering To Catholic Parish In Calabar As Thanksgiving On Buhari’s Health

The State party executives of the All Progressive Congress in Cross River State has held a thanksgiving service in Church to thank God for answered prayers over the life of President Muhammadu Buhari who is back in the country in good health after 103 days of absence out of ill health.

The State Chairman of the party Mr. John Ochalla who was supported by the South-South Zonal Vice Chairman of the Party, Ntufam Hilliard Ettah and many other senior party members in the state announced an offering of One million Naira to the Catholic Parish of Essien Town in Calabar to support development work in the parish noting that Parish had joined them in prayers rendered for the good health and recovery of President Buhari which God has answered.


The Zonal Vice Chairman of the Party, Ntufam Ettah noted that President Buhari has already approved and ensured the inclusion of Cross River State in the nation’s railway plan “and so in no time, the work the construction of the Clabar to Lagos railway will commence. This is the President that has done much for Cross River State and Nigeria as a country, so we are happy and thankful to God that he has kept him alive and health to complete his tenure and finish his good works for Nigeria”.


Also speaking to journalist outside the church auditorium, Ntufam Ettah said “We have to be thankful that this man that has done so much for Cross River State and has planned to do much more is still alive with us.


A lot of people had wished him to be dead. People like Governor Fayose of Ekiti state had wished that he died. A lot of Nigerians who had not yet come out of the defeat of 2015 had wished our president dead, and we are very grateful to God that he is alive today.”


He expressed confidence that the APC would take over the government of Cross River State in 2019 saying he is as such as the day break that APC will form the government in Cross River State by 2019.
