Paedophile child killer unable to eat final meal he ordered before his execution

A paedophile child killer ordered a large cheese pizza with bell peppers and mushrooms, a two-litre bottle of Pepsi and strawberry cheesecake as his final meal yesterday.However, he left most of it untouched.He also reportedly refused his planned breakfast .

Ronald Phillips was killed  for the 1993 rape and killing of his girlfriend’s three-year-old daughter, Sheila Marie Evans, in Akron.


Aged 19 at the time of the horrendous crime, he is said to have beat the little girl while throwing her against a wall and dragging her by the hair. Phillips claimed he was only a teenager at the time and this should be taken into account.

He had initially told police he spanked the girl but said Sheila fell on a railroad spike and the corner of her bed as he tried to explain signs of sexual assault.

But he later confessed to physically and sexually assaulting her, Cleveland19 reports.

The 43-year-old was the first execution in the US state of Ohio in three years this morning after the US Supreme Court denied his last-ditch attempts to halt his death.
.Executions were put on hold in 2014 when an inmate, Dennis McGuire, gasped and snorted during an injection of a new drug combination.
