Meet the man who lives with seven sex dolls

Li Chen spends every day looking after his seven companions, who are human-size silicone dolls.

The 58-year-old man, from Huishui, China's Guizhou Province, is a 'big fan' of the 'beautiful female figures' and considers them his daughters.

In an interview with MailOnline, Li, who goes with a pseudonym, said he does not use his dolls for the purpose of sex, instead he grooms and dresses them. He even takes them on holidays and makes music videos for them.

The man has spent more than 100,000 yuan (£11,600) buying nearly 100 costumes for his seven silicone partners.

He plans to start a business to design and produce fashionable clothes for his dolls, each of which costs at least 10,000 yuan (£1,170).

When asked why he likes his dolls, Li said: '
Many people in China call me and other fans of dolls "perverts". I do not wish to justify myself.'These dolls are beautiful. They are the combinations of the best features taken from various women. I'm simply appreciating their beauty.'

Although these dolls are sold as sex toys, the man insisted that he does not consider them pleasure devices; instead he treats them as family members.

However, he encourages his only son, who is 18 years old, to use dolls 'to satisfy his biological needs'.

On his son's 18th birthday last month, Li bought him a silicone figure as a gift so 'he could put her to good use when he needs'.

The father explained:
'I want him to use the doll instead of catching random diseases from outside by accident.
'When I gave him sex education, I taught him the importance of staying safe when it comes to sex.'

Li and his son currently live with seven dolls. Five of them belong to Li and the other two were given to him to look after by his friends, who are a couple and could no longer take care of the dolls after they got married.
