Husband-grabbing long, detailed story: NJC questions Osun judge

The National  National Judicial Council has issued a question over legal accusation of loving people (shameful and disgraceful act or situation) against a judge in the Osun State (related to judges and the court system), Justice Olamide Oloyede, who started a written request calling for the removal of the state Governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola.

The NJC issued the question dated July 28, 2015 and with reference number, NJC/S.29/HC.OS/16/1/55, against Justice Oloyede upon a written request by a mother of four, Mrs. Emily Richard-Obire, who (charged with a crime) the judge of living together with her (Richard-Obire's) husband.

Oloyede came to importance (not very long ago) after she submitted a written request to the Osun State House of Assembly calling for the removal of Aregbesola on the grounds of his possible (related to managing money) stealing.

But Richard-Obire had stated in her written request dated July 13, 2015 that she only "(not very long ago)" discovered that the judge had been having an affair to the harm of her (Richard-Obire's) marriage-related home since 2011.

The Chief Justice of Nigeria and Chairman of the NJC, Justice Mahmud Mohammed, who personally signed the question, directed Justice Oloyede to respond to the question within 14 days of receiving it.

A copy of the question received/got by our reporter on Monday was issued to the judge through the Osun State Chief Judge, Justice O.A Ojo.

It was entitled, 'Re: Written request against Justice Olamide Oloyede of the Osun State (related to judges and the court system)' and reads this way, "I forward herewith a written request dated July 13, 2015 against you by one Mrs. Emily Richard-Obire on the above subject matter. The written request speaks for itself.

"I will be glad to have your comments within 14 days from the date of your receipt of this letter."

It could not be learned (or checked) on Monday if Oloyede had responded to the question.

Richard-Obire accused (of a crime) in her written request that the judge's relationship with her (the (person who approaches a court for help)'s) husband was threatening her 23-year-old marriage which had produced four children, one of whom is suffering from autism and Down's Disease.

In the written request talked to/looked at to Justice Mohammed, the (person who approaches a court for help) accused (of a crime) that her husband, Mr. Richard Obire, moved out of their marriage-related home in Lagos since 2011 and often travelled to Osogbo, the Osun State capital to live with with the judge.

She said her husband and Justice Oloyode were both members to Grail Message and must have met in one of their meetings.

According to her, the relationship between her husband and the judge had got to the extent that the judge's official car was now in permanent (rights to care for and protect someone) of Obire.

Asking/begging the NJC to limit/hold down Justice Oloyede "from further acts of having an affair with my husband," Richard-Obire expressed fear that if something extremely important is not done, the judge might finally "grab" her husband eventually and finally give up his responsibilities.

The written request read in part, "I am afraid that if something extremely important is not done, Justice Oloyede may finally grab my husband and he may eventually and finally give up his responsibilities. I have evidence to the effect that she has been dealing with my husband as her husband and also my husband addresses her as 'my beautiful wife' knowing full well that there is survival/income of marriage between us.

"I strongly encourage you to use your good offices to limit/hold down Justice Olamide Oloyede from further acts of having an affair with my husband."
