EFCC has released a statement reacting to the reported diversion of N1 trillion by the commission's chairman, Ibrahim Lamorde which was published yesterday August 24th. The (service business/government unit/power/functioning) in a statement published on its website this morning, proved as false (or denied) the claims, adding that the commission is not afraid of probe. The statement below..
The attention of the Money-based and (related to managing money) Crimes Commission, EFCC, has been drawn to a report (with written description/with on-screen translation), Possible N1tn diversion: Senate to probe Lamorde's possible diversion of N1tn, which appeared in The Punch Newspaper of Monday August 24, 2015 containing sex-related claims of (dishonest actions that ruin your trust) against the person of the chairman of the Commission, Ibrahim Lamorde.
The EFCC should normally not (give honor and respect to) the (book, magazine, etc.) with a response as the reasons for doing things of the (help increase/show in a good way)rs and their media friends are to challenge the (honest and good human quality/wholeness or completeness) of the EFCC boss with made up (a lie) stories of (dishonest actions that ruin your trust). However the Commission is held back to respond, to expose the reason (for doing something) behind the evil plot. In the first instance, claims of a N1trillion (dishonest actions that ruin your trust) in the EFCC is embarrassingly baby-like and attacks the thoughts and feelings of all reasonable (people who are interested in a project or business) in the anti- (dishonest actions that ruin your trust) fight.
Even if the EFCC had not returned a kobo of recovered valuable things in its 12 years existence in addition to the yearly took (or set aside) money from the federation account, it will be nowhere near a trillion naira. This clearly exposes the mission of the so called (person who approaches a court for help) as nothing more than mischief, designed to smear Lamorde.
More evil is the discovery that the so called written request did not follow the procedure (for him, her, or them to carefully think about) by the senate. It was sent, not to the senate but to a member, Senate Peter Nwaoboshi, a first term senator from Delta North.
Under the senate rules, written requests meant (for him, her, or them to carefully think about) by the red room are sent to the senate, not to a member of the senate. Also, written requests meant for the senate are tabled at the full/complete, before they are referred to the (clearly connected or related) (groups that decide or promote things) for more thought (about using or doing something). In this instance, the senate has been on recess and there is no evidence that the so called written request was carefully thought about/believed at full/complete and referred to any (group that decides or promotes something).
The EFCC as a (service business/government unit/power/functioning) that is founded on clearness/open honesty is not afraid of any "probe" or request for information (related to/looking at/thinking about) its activities by people, groups or organs of government; so far as such requests followed due process of law. The EFCC under Lamorde did not need the causing/bringing about/reminding of anyone, when it (put into use/paid in exchange for services) a respectable international audit firm, KPMG to carry out complete and thorough audit of shows and lost (as punishment) valuable things of the Commission from 2003 to date.
The report of the audit will be made public once it is ready. Were the Commission to be nervous about its records, it would not have began such audit. The EFCC however warns that those who sell false information with the intent to be dishonest to/lie to should be reminded that there is a surviving law on false information and the result for violation is grave.
