A 27-year-old builder, Alan Hall, has been jailed
for four-and-a-half years for repeatedly luring a 14-year-old girl into
his van for sex as she walked to or from school.
The
Coventry Telegraph reports that Hall would stare at the girl and
compliment her as he cycled past her in the street before things took a
sexual turn.
Police prosecutors say that in
December 2013, Hall pulled up alongside the girl, who was always dressed
in school uniform, and offered her a lift.
He drove to nearby garages where he kissed her and during subsequent meetings Hall got her to carry out other sexual acts.
Fortunately a concerned teacher spotted the 14-year-old getting in to the van and contacted her parents.
Police
traced the vehicle to a Coventry building firm and later that evening
Hall was arrested from his home in Southam Close, Canley.
