Police officer goes berserk, kills infant, shoots woman, girl in Kano

A police officer attached to the Kano State Police Command, is reported to have gone berserk, shooting dead an infant as well as fatally shooting a woman and a young young girl.

The incident which has been confirmed by the state Police Public Relations Officer, happened at a place called ‘Kwani Mani’, a well known police check point in Bichi local government area of the state.

According to Leadership Newspaper, the father of the girl, Malam Inusa Imamu Mainasara, said that his 10-year-old daughter, Amira Imamu, accompanied relatives on a visit in a small village called Yana last Sunday when the incident occurred.

Mainasara also confirmed that he only saw his daughter was was rushed to the Murtala Muhammad Hospital, Kano, with her intestines spewing out while medical personnel at the hospital were trying to recuperate her.
