Man drives into pedestrians, hurts eight

AN elderly Chinese man has driven his car through a crowd of pedestrians outside a popular Beijing sports stadium, injuring eight people in what appears to be a protest against an unfavourable court ruling.
THE Beijing man, with the surname of Jin, recently lost a property dispute in court, according to a statement from Beijing police.

The Beijing Times website said the man's car had the word "injustice" painted on it as it drove through the crowd on Friday morning. The man was wearing a piece of fabric on his head bearing the same word. His car finally stopped after slamming into other vehicles at the south gate of Workers' Stadium. Such attacks on schoolchildren, pedestrians and other innocent bystanders have become regular occurrences in China, as people vent their frustrations over legal disputes, slights and other perceived injustices
