Tony Elumelu, Uzor Kalu Now Billionaires

The Chairman of the United Bank of Africa (UBA), Tony Elumelu and former Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu (both pictured) have been recognized as billionaires by Forbes.
The Chairman of the United Bank of Africa (UBA), Tony Elumelu and former Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu have now been recognized as billionaires by Forbes.
Also, for the first time in four years, Nigeria has surpassed South Africa on the list of Africa's richest people.

Elumelu and Kalu are newcomers on the list along with King Mohammed VI of Morocco while Nigerian mogul, Aliko Dangote maintains his spot at the top.
Nigeria has 13 people on the list while South Africa has only 11, 3 numbers lower than the 14 spots it boasted of last year.
The Nigerians on the list are Aliko Dangote, Mike Adenuga, Folorunsho Alakija, Theophilus Danjuma, Tony Elumelu, Orji Uzor Kalu, Femi Otedola, Jim Ovia, Abdulsamad Rabiu, Mohammed Indimi, Tunde Folawiyo, Hakeem Belo-Osagie and Oba Otudeko.
