According to reports, Cameroonian troops have killed at least eight members of terrorist sect, Boko Haram.
15 of the insurgents were also arrested after soldiers attacked the terrorist camp in the Bomeri area of the country, local newspaper Le Jour reports.
The
attack on the terrorists was carried out by members of Cameroon’s
“Operation Alpha” which was specifically created to fight Boko Haram.
The troops also reportedly seized arms, ammunition and 20 motorbikes from the terrorists.
Cameroon
has suffered from incessant terrorist attacks due to its shared border
with Nigeria, where the sect largely operates, and Cameroonian
President, Paul Biya has vowed to wipe out the sect.
