Satan worshipper who changed name to Exorcist demon 'killed and ate' victims

Satanic: Pazuzu changed his name to the demon that possessed a child in the hit film The Exorcist
A Satan worshipper named after a demon in The Exorcist has been arrested  after claims he ate parts of victims then dumped remains in a fire pit.
Pazuzu Illah Algarad, 35, has been charged with murder after two bodies were dug up in the back garden of his home in Clemmons, North Carolina.
Neighbours said they had seen him performing animal sacrifices and satanic rituals at the house while friends said he boasted of killing people, eating part of them and burning the rest.
Amber Burch, 24, who lives with Algarad and is described as his wife on Facebook, is also charged with murder, while another woman, 28-year-old Krystal Matlock, is charged with helping bury the bodies.

Police have identified the first victim as Joshua Wetzler, 37, and the second as 36-year-old Tommy Welch.
According to local news channel MyFox8, police believe the two victims were killed separately in July and October 2009.
Investigators revealed they had also uncovered animal bones in the home, which had a sign up outside it that read: "Evil will triumph".
A former friend of Agarad's said she lived with the suspected murderer, who is said to have filed his teeth to a point, for a month in 2005 when he allegedly told her about the bones in his back garden.

Bianca Heath told the Huffington Post: "Paz told everyone. But I never believed him. I’m sure no one else believed him either. He laughed about the skeletal remains when telling the story on why he did what he did."
Heath also claimed Algarad told her he picked up two prostitutes at two separate locations before he killed and ate them, burning the remains in a fire pit before burying what remained.
Born John Lawson, Algarad, who is said to have also had his tongue split down the middle like a snake, is reported to changed his name to Pazuzu in 2002 for religious reasons.
In ancient Middle Eastern mythology, Pazuzu was a demon who brought famine and locusts to the region, but in recent years it is more widely known as the evil force that possess a young girl in the horror film The Exorcist.
Krystal Nicole Matlock

In 2010, Algarad was convicted on a charge of accessory after the fact in the involuntary manslaughter of 30-year-old Joseph Chandler.
Chandler was found shot dead near a river by police after his mother reported him missing that morning.
Algarad, Burch and Matlock have all been warned they face life in jail or even the death penalty if convicted.
They are due to appear in court on October 23.
