Photos: Hon. Rotimi Makinde Constructs New Church In Ile Ife In Memory Of Slain Pastor

Honourable Rotimi Makinde of Ife Central constituency has built a new church to replace the old church of Pastor Akinola a very popular pastor in Ile-Ife that was assassinated on the eve of 2011 elections in a politically motivated assassination. According to the honourable the church was built in his memory to compensate the church leaders and other innocent people who lost their lives.

"I feel the yearnings and aspirations of my people on a regular basis. I will never let them down. I will always speak out for them and defend their interests. This newly-constructed church is in the evergreen memory of Pastor Akinola and all the innocent people murdered in cold blood by agents of darkness at the eve of 2011 election in Ile Ife Osun state. May God grant their souls eternal rest", he said.

The church will officially be commissioned on Monday 27th October, 2014.
