Surgeons save man’s life



A tiny ‘Imbul’ tree branch which had pierced the left breast of a motorcyclist was surgically removed by a team of surgeons at the Hambantota General Hospital.

A.P. Sanjeewa (40) a resident of Lunama was riding his motorcycles when a roadside Imbul tree had fallen on the road and the sharp end of a broken branch pierced the breast causing a serious wound.

The tiny branch was removed in a three-hour operation.
