Nigerian Monarchs Now Seeking Varsity Education

Monarchs in Nigeria are now stepping up their game despite their old age to get university education, thanks to NOUN, National Open University of Nigeria.
The Awujale of Ijebu Land, Oba Sikiru who is 80-year old is presently a student of NOUN, while an eastern monarch who is 102-year old just got a scholarship to study free of charge to any level at the newly opened NOUN university in his community.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the school, where the monarch was present (as seen above), the vice chancellor said; we are granting the centenarian monarch a limitless scholarship to study to any level of his choice at the institution. I mean every word of it. The Odion has to start burning his candle now to earn a degree free of charge. He is not the first to be so challenged. The Awujale of Ijebu Land, Ogun State, Oba Sikiru who is 80 years old is a student of NOUN. He would soon graduate, he said.
