This has always been the fear of many Nigerians who say they are indeed
tired of the ruling PDP and want a fresh party to take over the
leadership of Nigeria, OluFamous.Com observed. Will the opposition be
able to bury their personal ambitions and put the interest of the
country on the front burner?
Well, it seems the road is going to be very rough as serious tension is already mounting in the soon to be registered mega opposition party, All Progressive Congress...
As you already know, the APC is a product of a merger between the ACN,
CPC, ANPP and APGA, and it has an avowed mission to dislodge the PDP
from power through the 2015 general elections.
But sources within the APC have disclosed that there had been disagreements over the sharing of offices and other powerful positions among the stakeholders from the different parties.
Investigations showed that the CPC and the ANPP disagreed over the post of the National Secretary, which both are insisting must be given to them. ACN has the Chairman as it has more states than others.
A source within APC confided told Punch that “The ANPP, specifically Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, wanted the position of the protem National Secretary but was schemed out. The CPC and the ACN conspired. The CPC insisted on the position of secretary or nothing. Those in the ANPP are not excited about this.
“There is also a proposal that the CPC in addition to producing the secretary will get the presidential slot while the ACN gets the chairmanship of the party in addition to producing the Vice-Presidential candidate.”
But when the ACN and CPC grab these juicy offices and positions for themselves what will become of the ANPP and the Governor Rochas Okorocha-led faction of APGA?

Will the opposition be able to get their acts together before it is too late?
