Miranda Lambert Wins Big at the 2013 ACM Awards

Supporting her handsome hubby host, and putting on a performance herself, Miranda Lambert was the big winner of the night for the 2013 Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday (April 7).

In addition to belting out her hit "Mama's Broken Heart," Lambert managed to pull in three new pieces of hardware for herself including Song of the Year, Single Record of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year.

Eager to be recognized for all aspects of her work, Miranda gushed during one of her acceptance speeches, saying, "I’m so thankful to be in this genre. I love everybody to death. Thank you for accepting me as a songwriter and not just a singer and a performer because that means the world to me.”
The 29 year-old country crooner's husband, Blake Shelton, also had plenty of positive words to say about his main lady as they accepted their combined award for Song of the Year for their hit, "Over You."
"Last time this happened, you didn't get a chance to talk and you're not going to get a chance this time either," Blake said to Miranda during their speech, adding, "I'll tell you something, I've learned so much from this human being standing next to me, a lot of things about myself. She blows me away ... I used to think I was a decent songwriter until I started hanging out with her, and she really taught me how to write a good song and this is proof of it. Thank you so much baby, I love you."
